This proposal to utilize a high-strength concrete for a food & beverage kiosk consists of a modular design that can act as a stand-alone pavilion or be joined to other structures to create a layered, dynamic experience.

The shape, a bi-symmetrical arch supporting an undulating roof, updates a traditional typology to reflect contemporary sensibilities. The potential of the material is maximized by particalizing a mass with “thickness” into a series of legible, thin elements. The programmatic components of the design are orientated to be functionally diagonal, creating different readings as one experiences the structure from different angles.
